THANKYOUKAYLA'S DEVOTIONAL

His Promise Still Remains

A 3 - day devotional created for everyone especially those who are going through a breakup.

His Promise Still Remains Devotional: Welcome

DAY 1

Let’s face it, break ups are hard. Picking up all your pieces and trying to start new is hard. Being ripped away from what you loved most is traumatic. I get it because I been there, in fact, I’m still there. Most break ups are a loss. It is a time of grieving and for people that have lost a loved one know that there is really no end to grieving. It’s just an on and off thing, but it does get easier over time.

I remember when I was 16 years old I thought my life was over when the guy I was with broke up with me to go to the army. I went into a dark hole and one day I remember laying on my bed facing the wall in the dark and I physically felt myself in the center of the palm of God’s hand! I felt light as a feather. He was there with me, He gave me the comfort I needed to push through and get myself up from that bed and live life.

God promises that He is with you. He will always be with you. The promise he placed in your life will come to pass and it will remain. He created you and He will complete His purpose for your life. You do not need to pick up your pieces alone.

DAY 2

You don’t have to let go of someone for them to let go of you. What are you gaining by holding onto someone that is not holding on to you? At some point you are going to have to recognize your worth and step out that bubble the enemy has been trying to keep you in for so long.

You are not doing any damage to them at this point, it’s all about you and your health. You know that saying “to love someone is to let them go”? Well you will never understand that until you have to do it. So in the meantime love yourself and let go.

There comes a season in everyone’s life where they have to stop doing for others and start doing for themselves. A lot of people will call that the “selfish 20s,” but what it is really called is soul care. There is nothing wrong with putting yourself first sometimes. God wants us to take care of ourselves, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

When are you going to tell yourself enough is enough?

At what point in this journey of your life will you finally put your foot down for love and start taking care of your soul?

DAY 3

New beginnings are hard, but feeling like there are incomplete endings in your life are torturous. That’s where your security in Christ is tested though. We see it as incomplete, but God sees it as already finished. According to your plans it’s incomplete, but according to God’s plan you’re exactly where He wants you to be.

Do not run away from what and where God has called you to be.

This is the season of old endings and new beginnings. It’s time to trim the split ends and start fresh. The days of 40 years in the wilderness are over. God is calling you out! Whom the son sets free, is free indeed. Receive the healing and freedom God has promised for you.

I encourage you to meditate on these scriptures.
